Many people only think about animals that went extinct a very long time ago, such as the dinosaurs, when they think of extinction. But there are a great deal many more animals and plants that have gone extinct, some quite recently. There are also many who are in danger of going extinct in the future.

YOUR TASK: Do some research about species that have gone extinct. Choose ONE animal or plant that has gone extinct, and use Powerpoint to make a poster (use ONE slide) about the animal or plant you have chosen.

You should include pictures as well as  information like:

• when it went extinct
• where it lived
• something about its lifestyle - its habitat, diet etc
• what might have caused it to go extinct
