Watch this video which shows what can happen when images are shared.

  • The story shows how quickly images can be shared without your consent or knowledge
  • It shows the embarrassment and humiliation suffered by the girl and boy in the film
  • It also shows how important it is not to give up, even when everything seems hopeless

Images taken and shared on line can be very easily copied, screen grabbed and shared.

Snapchat has recently admitted that the photos you send are not gone forever. You also never know if someone has taken a screen grab. This is a statement from Snapchat's terms and conditions:

"worldwide, perpetual, royalty-free, sub-licensable, and transferable license to host, store, use, display, reproduce, modify, adapt, edit, publish, create derivative works from, publicly perform, broadcast, distribute, syndicate, promote, exhibit, and publicly display" any content you upload to the app, "in any form and in any and all media or distribution methods (now known or later developed)".

This makes it clear that the images you upload will be stored and Snapchat instantly own those images to do with what they want. You are no longer in control.
