This part of the course will improve your:

• grammatical understanding of the language;
• range of Latin vocabulary;
• translation technique into English;
• ability to compose Latin prose.

Whilst an understanding of the language will be essential for the set texts, it is directly assessed at the end of the course in two examination papers:

• Latin Language Unseen Translations (one prose, one verse passage);
• Latin Comprehension or Prose Composition.
