Make sure you have in front of you a pen or pencil and plenty of plain or lined paper.

You are NOT allowed to use a calculator, ruler, protractor or squared paper.

Have your computer (or tablet / phone) switched on and connected to the internet.

Have accessible the username and password that your teacher has sent you.

NB There is no penalty for getting a question wrong.  The questions get gradually harder. You are NOT expected to do all 25 questions.  Most people concentrate on the first 15 and then try a few from the later ones if they have time.  Later questions score 1 extra mark but take a lot longer:

​The challenge lasts exactly 60 minutes. Your clock starts when you click on the start button. You can attempt the questions in any order, and you can always go back to change an answer. Your answers will be saved immediately. When you are done you can close your browser, logout or select the 'I am done' option beneath question 25.

When you are ready, hopefully at 10am:

1.  Go to https://challenges.ukmt.org.uk/

2.  Enter your username and password  

(it may say do not login until the invigilator tells you do to do so - as the invigilator I am telling you to login at approximately 10am on Wed 24 June)

3.  Enter your name (as you would like it to appear on a certificate) and gender (optional)

4.  Click save

5.  Click on the 'Challenges' header and select your year group to start the Challenge

6.  Your 1 hour starts when you have entered your details and click on START

7.  The challenge will automatically finish after 1 hour.  When you are done you can close your browser, logout or select the 'I am done' option beneath question 25.

ANY PROBLEMS?
