• Stopping distance = thinking distance + braking distance
• Define thinking distance
• The distance travelled whist you are reaction to the situation
• Define braking distance
• The distance travelled whilst you are braking
• Describe some factors that affect stopping distance and say if they will affect thinking distance, braking distance or both.
• For each factor explain why they affect stopping distance.
