E-safety is often defined as the safe and responsible use of technology. This includes the use of the internet and also other means of communication using electronic media (eg text messages, gaming devices, email etc).

In this unit you will work on different aspect of E-Safety

To understand the effects that cyber-bullying can have on somebody else
To know what to do if I am ever cyber-bullied by somebody.
To think about my own behaviours online and think about the impact that they might have on someone else
To understand how to recognise online grooming
To know what I need to do to reduce the risks of me becoming a victim of online grooming
To know what I need to do should I experience online grooming
To understand what is meant by sexting
To understand the consequences of sexting
To know where to find help and advice about sexting
To understand some of the negative effects and issues of taking and using selfies
To understand that not everything we see on line is truthful.
To recognise he dangers of fake news
To recognise the power of influencers, Clickbait and Sponsored Content to influence behaviours
